We are social people. We love having company over and going to friends house to visit. But sometimes, we must do something other than just be with our friends. The scriptures teach in Luke 14:12-14 "When you give a dinner or a banquet, don't invite your friends and family and relatives and rich neighbors. If you do, they will invite you in return, and you will be paid back. When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. They cannot pay you back. But God will bless you and reward you."Last night, we had Daniel and Katie over for dinner. Tacos. Taco salad. Yummy! We had a real good time with them. After dinner, we played Snorta, a family friendly game. Daniel is the young man that was in jail last year and accidentally dialed a wrong (right) number. Instead of calling his sister, he called one of the saints who ministered to him.
The Lord worked it out to where he was released and charges against him were reduced. Now that he is out, he is trying to find a job, but is having a difficult time due to the slow economy. Please pray that something will work out for him soon.
There are so many needy people out there. It is no time to be idle.
And then at the evening when labor is done, Whatever is right I will pay."

You've got me thinking. Thanks for sharing this thought. It's very true.
